The eye that never blinks
Through this photography project, the aim is to capture the pervasive nature of CCTV cameras in our daily lives. A person is followed through their day-to-day activities, their movements are documented as they navigate through public spaces.
The project seeks to bring awareness to the implications of constant surveillance and to prompt reflection on the balance between safety and privacy. The photographs highlight the omnipresence of CCTV cameras in our daily lives, revealing how often we are captured by these cameras without even realising it. In many urban areas, it is estimated that the average person may be captured over 70 times a day.
By illustrating the extent of surveillance that takes place in public spaces, the project encourages us to reflect on the role of CCTV cameras in our lives and to consider the implications of this constant watchful gaze.
